Idled Delta Airliners to Be Used for Ariel Target Practice in Blue Angels Flyovers

ATLANTA – In a move to show support for America’s healthcare workers battling COVID-19, Delta Airlines CEO Ed Bastian announced Delta Airlines was partnering with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels demonstration team to incorporate some of its airliners as target drones in their flyovers.

“Delta is proud to support healthcare workers, and this is really a win, win for everyone. We can eliminate some excess fleet capacity, and everyone will get to see one hell of a show.” Bastian added, “we were just going to scrap the things anyway, might as well do something cool for America with them”.

The idea was originally proposed by Atlanta ground worker Colin Finch, who submitted it to management. Finch, standing next to a grounded Boeing 767 said “I thought it would be a nice gesture to all the doctors and nurses you know”, adding, “it would be cool to blow some stuff up”.
