Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg passed away Friday evening. And the finger-pointing has already begun, as DC is in turmoil (surprise) over whether Donald Trump should nominate a new SCOTUS this close to an election (spoiler, he will).
I took a trip down to the Earth’s fiery core to reach Mitch McConnel, where he was nice enough to take fifteen minutes out of his busy day to sit down when me. He stated that the Republican lead senate would definitely pass through Trump’s nominee, especially if it gets Ted Cruz out of the Senate so he doesn’t have to see him at the office Christmas party anymore.
And now, just twenty-four hours after RBG’s passing, the white smoke has appeared out of the White House’s chimney, signally that the President has selected a nominee for the highest court in the land. That, or he was just vaping.
And who is this nominee for SCOTUS? None other than the Democrat’s candidate for president, Joe Biden, who was elated to receive the nominee.
When asked for comment, Joe Biden said:
“2020 has been a big year for me. First I’m my party’s candidate for President, and now I get to serve on the Supreme Court bench. I vow to dedicate the last two years of my life to ensuring that the American people have the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of… of…”
