High-profile lawyer Michael Avenatti used dark magic to teleport himself to Ghislane Maxwell’s holding cell, where she hired him on the spot to be her lawyer.
“My first choice would have been Alan Dershowitz, because I could have made him work for free,” said Ghislane, “but Avenatti’s dark magic is probably superior.”
Avenatti disputes that he uses dark magic. “According to strict Dungeons and Dragons rules, I’m chaotic-neutral,” said Avenatti. “I’m representing Ghislane, which is evil, but we’re going to expose more members of her pedophile ring, which is good. And I get attention, which is best.”
Avenatti was previously convicted of extortion and faces decades in jail. He is hoping he and Ghislane can “learn from each other”.
