ROBLOX the massive online gaming company was set to IPO sometime in March, however it seems like it has been delayed or entirely cancelled after ROBLOX CEO David Baszucki was found to have called something ‘That’s Gay loll’ on Twitter back in 2008. The tweets were later deleted after being noticed and Baszucki issued an apology and is expected to step down soon.
Many young kids aged 8-12 were saddened by the news, one veteran ROBLOX player “coolguy420IDidYourMom” stated a 10 year old who has been on the platform for two years was saddened by the news, “It is incredibly sad cancel culture is set to ruin ROBLOX’s IPO. I set up a lemonade stand and worked hard for months so I could have enough cash to buy shares of ROBLOX when it IPO’d, I do not want to buy this company just because I enjoy the product, rather because I reviewed ROBLOX’s SEC statements, balance sheet, 10-K etc, and the fundamentals of this company align with my investment thesis making me think it would be a profitable business to invest in.”
